Swissotel Al Ghurair has promoted Yasin Kilic as the new Assistant Director of Sales, leading the sales team and the managed segments for the hotel and serviced hotel apartments.
The 17-year industry veteran with extensive experience in the hospitality sector, from front-of-house operational to various sales roles within the hospitality industry, Yasin has significantly grown the business and the hotel’s reputation in the last 5 years.
Moving from Rotana City Centre in Doha, Yasin joined the iconic 620-room property in 2018, as Assistant Manager – Groups and Events. Since then, he has grown into various leadership roles, based on his performance, strong business acumen, and relationships with business partners.
In his most recent role as Senior Sales Manager, he handled the largest managed segment for the hotel and single handily responsible for over 35% of the complex’s revenue stream and his efforts have led to much needed base business for the hotel. This allowed the hotel to be positioned above market share achieved through both occupancy and rate advantage in the year 2022.
His targeted efforts of working closely with partners from international markets have allowed his accounts to deliver a growth of 30% to 90% from strategic countries and continents such as, Africa, Middle East and CIS.
