South African restaurant concept Walnut Grove has opened at City Walk Dubai.
According to a press statement, the restaurant offers “an authentic, boutique dining experience” with “vivid, inventive cuisine, welcoming staff and family-based core values”.
The menu offers Cannonut (a cannoli and donut hybrid), rainbow cake, burgers, homemade pasta, salads, and a signature coffee blend.
For children there is a special menu on offer in addition to entertainment, which includes interactive baking sessions.
The original restaurant in South Africa features the largest chandelier in the country, a walnut tree with over 10,000 reclaimed and antique crystals, and this design motif has been transported to the Dubai location.
The walnut tree represents the importance of family roots, one of Walnut Grove’s core values.
First established in 1975, Walnut Grove is the longest-running restaurant in Sandton City, South Africa and remains in the family of the founder.
