We’re all aware that there’s an abundance of Asian restaurants in Dubai right now but how many of them are actually doing it right? Well, thanks to Nakheel’s growing Hospitality & Leisure division for opening Asian Kitchen, the new beachfront restaurant serving Asian fusion cuisine on the world-famous Palm Jumeirah, I believe we have another worthy addition.
Asian Kitchen features tastes of India, Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, Vietnam, and China. They pride themselves by using high-quality, fresh ingredients to create Asian favorites and signature dishes, all served up in a casual, waterfront setting.
Located at Azure Residences on Palm Jumeirah’s eastern trunk, Asian Kitchen offers mesmerizing sea views from its breezy terrace. It’s a perfect spot especially now that the weather’s cooling down.
The interior design centered on the airy dining space with the walls decorated to reflect the streets of Asia. Colorful umbrellas also hang from the ceiling and if you think that by day, it’s already colorful, then it’s more lively and exciting at night.
Asian Kitchen has its own tandoor oven so it’s no surprise that a lot of the traditional tandoori dishes and fresh Indian bread are on offer. The menu is so diverse and includes some of Asia’s best-loved dishes, some of which we tried included the Singapore Chili Crab, Kung Pao Chicken, Prawn Ceylon curry, Tandoor Lamb chops, Hakka noodles, and the must-order corn & egg drop soup.
It’s also worth mentioning that the prices are so reasonable for the portions and the service is just exceptional. I’m always happy to visit restaurants where the staff are so well informed about their products that they can give valuable recommendations and suggestions.
All in all, I was really impressed by the dining experience at Asian Kitchen. I love the fact that the food was served piping hot and stayed warm for a long time and so we were really able to enjoy. If this is what they meant by Asian Invasion, then I’m definitely all for it.
