Souq Al Bahar-based Indian restaurant, Patiala, is set to be re-launched with the expertise of world-renowned Indian celebrity chef, Kunal Kapur.
Kunal Kapur, the much-respected Masterchef India Judge, has the dream to make Indian the most popular cuisine in the world. The proud winner of six Best Indian Restaurant Awards, Patiala is his first ever restaurant in the Gulf.
Known in India as the next big guy in Kebabs and Curries, Kunal plans to create some intriguing degustation menus at Patiala, showcasing the modern side of Indian cuisine, with all dishes inspired by his extensive globetrotting, with an official re-launch unveiling the new menu in mid-November.
From modern twists like Scallops with Orange Chutney, Black Garlic and Mint Foam, and a delicious Caramelized Onion & Blue Cheese Naan, to lesser known classics such as Haleem Kebab, Magziadi Kebab and the authentic lucknowi Achari Gosht, Kunal’s menu will reflect Indian cuisine to perfection, while keeping in mind the latest trends worldwide. With immaculate presentation and pitch-perfect spicing, Patiala is set to become the place to experience the best Indian cuisine in Dubai.
Named after the princely state in Punjab, Patiala, the restaurant will cater to all ages of foodies, with a relaxed yet sophisticated ambience and stylish interiors. With a display kitchen to let guests see exactly how the centuries-old recipes are conjured up, as well as a lounge bar for pre or post dinner drinks, the atmosphere at Patiala oozes excitement and the much-loved Indian hospitality.
As the people of Punjab are known for their larger-than-life personalities and happy persona, the restaurant will reflect a ‘joie de vivre’ like no other, eliminating the stigma that fine dining, high-end restaurants have to be boring, according to Saurabh Narain, owner of Patiala.
Having hosted three seasons of MasterChef India, as well as launching restaurants in India, travel shows and top-selling cookbook, as well as many other amazing achievements, Chef Kapur is one of India’s most respected celebrity chefs.
