Manzil Downtown has welcomed Salvatore Barcellona as its new head chef.
In his new role, Barcellona will lead the culinary operations of the hotel’s dining venues, including The Courtyard, Boulevard Kitchen and Nezesaussi Grill.
He will be tasked with managing the food preparation process and creating a varied menu with fresh, high-quality, seasonal and local ingredients.
A native Sicilian, chef Barcellona launched his culinary career in 1996 in Italy and went on to acquire over 20 years of experience across the globe, including Germany, the USA and most recently in the UAE.
He moved to the UAE in 2011 and most recently was speciality Italian chef at Prego, Media Rotana in Barsha Heights, Dubai.
