Artisanal food tech coffee brand, Caffé di Artisan has joined the prestigious line-up of sponsors for the Leaders in F&B Awards, as Official Coffee Sponsor.
The inaugural Leaders in Food & Beverage Awards will take place at the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi on 9 November, celebrating excellence and innovation in the Middle East’s restaurant and catering industry.
Catering News speaks to Shankar Sharma, co-founder, Caffé di Artisan to find out why the US brand is supporting the event.
Please introduce Caffé di Artisan?
Caffé di Artisan is a revolutionary, disruptive, luxury California-Italian artisanal food tech coffee brand. The single origin coffee is freshly extracted in liquid single shot pods and doesn’t require the use of a machine. We freshly roast, grind and extract fine beans using our proprietary artisanal ‘micro-filtery’ over 15 hours. Every coffee drink, be it espresso, cappuccino, Americano or frappe can be ready in a minute, with no skilled labour required and with a consistent taste every single time. The best part is that it requires no capital investment or inventory stocking.
Why have you chosen to support BNC Publishing’s Leaders in F&B Awards?
These are prestigious awards that seek to celebrate excellence in the F&B establishments, individuals and teams that make the Middle East’s F&B landscape as exciting as it currently is. As a company partnering with many of these entities, and seeking to transform their beverage offerings, it is a pleasure and honour to be associated with the Leaders in F&B Awards.
What is your opinion of the Middle East’s F&B landscape?
The Middle East’s F&B landscape has been one of rapid change and excitement. Being at the crossroads of East and West, with an extremely cosmopolitan resident and tourist population, it has the clientele for a wide range of cuisines. With an outstanding array of brands, the Middle East now has many more innovations in the F&B space than ever before.
What new products are you launching this year?
Besides adding to our list of single origin coffees, we are also introducing a range of fitness drinks which combine our exquisite, single-origin coffees with whey protein – a combination that is both delicious and healthy. This is real, smooth, ambrosial coffee, not just the empty caffeine kick often associated with such drinks.
What are your company’s plans for the next 12 months?
We are preparing for a full-scale launch in our home market, the US, by the first quarter of 2017. Given the excellent reception we have had from customers across the world, we are now set to enter several European countries, in addition to ramping up our distribution in the US and across the Middle East and Asia.
