Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel & Resort will host its popular flea market on Saturday 5th of December in Arzanah Ballroom.
Exhibitors are invited to sell second-hand items from their home (such as clothing, books, DVDs, electronics, toys), while bargain hunters can stroll through the market to look for the best opportunities. Funds collected from the table fees will help UNICEF’s work for children, while proceeds from the second-hand sales benefit the exhibitors.
The flea market opens at 9am and ends at 2pm in the afternoon. Visitors can enter free of charge. Exhibitor tables are available for AED 285 each. If you book your table by the 8th of November, you can receive AED 40 discount off the rate.
The charity bazaar is a quarterly event at Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel & Resort featuring 90-95 stands. “Our charity flea markets have been running for a number of years with overwhelming success. It is a win-win for everyone involved – for the exhibitors, who can declutter their home while earning some money; for our visitors who can snap up some great bargains and most importantly for those disadvantaged children who benefit from UNICEF’s very worthy projects,” explains Yves Tarabout, acting general manager of the hotel.
This year UNICEF and Starwood Hotels & Resorts are celebrating 20 years of partnership. Since 1995, Starwood have supported UNICEF projects in more than 40 countries across the world with $30 million of funds raised. Money collected from the flea market exhibitors will support UNICEF’s WASH projects providing clean drinking water and sanitation facilities for children across Africa and the Middle East.
