Unwind has opened a new branch which is conveniently located in Park Gate Residences, right across from Zabeel Park. The specialty cafe has board games for kids and adults alike. With a larger space, timeless interior, and a reading corner, the café will open to the public from 18th July onwards
Unwind was the first ever board game cafe to open in the UAE back in March 2019. This time around, the café not only has an extraordinary space but also an extensive menu along with their signature specialty coffee with beans imported from Brazil and Ethiopia.
The unique concept is the brainchild of the sibling duo, Hamsa and Vaihundan Paramalingam, who always loved board games and wanted to open a space where everyone can relive the old days while exploring a whole new range of engaging modern boardgames.
“We wanted to create a space where everyone can switch off digitally and play board games with their friends and family while bringing out the competitive side. With the new branch, we wanted everything to be under one roof, from games to the reading corner along with an e-games section for a truly unwinding experience” said Hamsa, Co-founder of Unwind.
You will end up being transported into the world of nostalgia with the classics – Monopoly, Scrabble, Jenga, and Ludo as well as discover some of the newest games sourced from all around the world to delight adults, and teenagers and kids. You can try the new games with the help of Game Masters, who are the on-ground dedicated staff members to guide you through selecting as well as teaching the games to you. These board games are even available for purchase, so the fun does not need to stop when it is time to leave. The gaming experience can be fueled up with a whole new menu which includes – Deconstructed Cheesecake, Mushroom Risotto, and Buffalo Chicken Pizza from the all-day menu, and some delectable items from the breakfast menu such as Mushroom on toast and Breakie on Crowaffle, which is a croissant styled waffle, with avocado, eggs, cheddar cheese and bacon chips along with a range of unique refreshing beverages.
