LPM Restaurant & Bar, the home of French Mediterranean cuisine is excited to announce the launch of its new Vintage Cocktail Menu, which features a vast selection of rare and vintage spirits sourced from around the world. This menu is a celebration of the golden age of cocktails, presenting classic and contemporary drinks made with the highest quality ingredients, served in special glassware, and presented on a silver tray.
Following the global success of LPM’s Jean Cocteau beverage menu, the restaurant was inspired by the past to curate a menu that is innovative for today and the future, where they can transport guests back in time with modern day beverages that use vintage spirits and flavours. With interiors and decorations drawing from the Belle Epoque, offering a vintage cocktail menu allows LPM’s guests to have a full experience of that era from the atmosphere to the beverages. Globally, vintage spirits and cocktails have been trending for the past year, and while maintaining its classic bartending heritage, the restaurant bar believes the UAE is ready to be introduced to this new drinking experience.
The focus of the Vintage Cocktail Menu at LPM Restaurant & Bar is not just the cocktails themselves, but the entire experience that comes with drinking them. Thirty rare spirits used in the cocktails were meticulously sourced and imported to Dubai. In addition, the special glassware used for serving them, along with their silver tray, creates an unforgettable experience that is unique to LPM.
“We are excited to introduce our Vintage Cocktail Menu to the UAE,” said Tibor Krascenics, the Global Bar Manager of LPM Restaurant & Bar. “Our goal is to transport our guests back to a time when cocktails were an art form. Each cocktail has been created with a story that is attached to it, why and how each recipe was made. We have searched the world for some of the rarest spirits to craft unique vintage cocktails that we are sure will impress our guests.”
LPM Restaurant & Bar’s Vintage Cocktail Menu boasts a diverse range of classic and contemporary cocktails, each with its own distinctive flavour profile. Not only this, but each cocktail carries a story that is specific to its recipe and name. The Boulevardier, a drink made using 1960s Campari Bitter and Noilly Prat Rouge stirred harmoniously with National Distillers bourbon from the 1940s served over a hand carved Ice block, is named after the fabled Parisian gazette of the same name. The drink is a complex but remarkably full flavoured descendant of the Negroni, created in the 1920s at the legendary Harry’s New York bar in Paris for affluent journalist Erskine Gwynne who founded his monthly magazine the Boulevardier. The bar saw many of society’s elite enjoying a tipple or two and became a pioneer for bartending and cocktail trends.
Additional cocktails on the menu include the Martinez, a rich and flavourful cocktail made with Beefeater Gin from the 1970s stirred with Maraschino and Martini Rosso from the 1960s along with some bitters for some complexity. The Between The Sheets cocktail is a timeless blend of Martell VSOP and Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge from the 1960s, shaken up with tropical and crisp Bacardi white from the 1970s and balanced out with some lemon juice. For a unique take on the classic Negroni, guests should indulge in LPM’s Dutch Negroni using 1970s Bols Zeer Oude Genever stirred in equal parts with Campari Bitters and Punt E Mes from the 1960s. Those who prefer a Manhattan can indulge in LPM Restaurant & Bar’s version, made with Extra Dry Martini & Rossi from the 1950s and Martini Rosso from the 1960s stirred together with 1940s National Distillers Bourbon along with a couple dashes of bitters. Brooklyn is another great cocktail, featuring 1940s National Distillers Bourbon stirred with 1960s Maraschino along with 1950s Martini & Rossi extra dry with Amer Picon for that bittersweet roundness.
The Vintage Cocktail Menu at LPM Restaurant & Bar is priced between AED 300-440, making it a luxurious experience for those who appreciate the art of mixology. LPM Restaurant & Bar is well-known for its exceptional cuisine, and the Vintage Cocktail Menu is no exception.
