Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort invites guests for a live-action celebration of Barbecue Master Chef Jord Althuizen and his extraordinary grill skills this November. Join us poolside each day from 18 – 20 November and sample the sizzling meats and grilled platters that earned Chef Jord a World Championship title.
Award-winning author of four bestselling barbecue cookbooks and popular television personality, Chef Jord has become renowned as one of the world’s leading barbecue chefs after graduating from the prestigious Hotelschool The Hague in 2005. He was first presented with the Tony Stone Low and Slow BBQ Competition for Best Beef Brisket in 2013 before being crowned World Champion Whole Hog BBQ’er in 2014. Since 2016, he has worked as chef and co-owner of the Black Smoke Rotterdam.
At Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort this November, Chef Jord will apply his unique skills to create sumptuous sharing platters featuring mouthwatering dishes such as Smokey’s Vitello Tonato, Southern Style Cornbread with Black truffle-honey butter, and Texas Style Smoked Turkey with Carolina Gold Sauce & mustard-caviar.
Chef Jord’s flavour palette will be completed with innovative appetisers and dips including smoked feta cream with grilled peach, thyme & honey chutney, fire-roasted red beet hummus with pistachio crunch, and smoked fish dip with jalapeño-chives oil.
Guests will enjoy a fully immersive dining experience where sharing platters will be interspersed with centrepiece dishes served directly from the grill or smoker. Sweet tooths won’t miss out with Heart Stopper profiteroles dished up for dessert alongside marinated & grilled pineapple with coconut-mascarpone

An evening with the Barbecue Master Chef Althuizen takes place poolside from 6.00 pm every night from 18 – 20 November. The price to join is AED 425 per person, including grape, grain and soft drinks
