Drop Coffee, the brew connoisseurs of the city known for the perfect fresh cup of coffee, lands in the capital this March at the waterfront destination, Yas Bay on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. Along with the new opening comes the launch of their first-ever culinary menu, set to serve the capital with an eclectic mix of breakfast items and main dishes, alongside all-day dining items.
Drop Coffee landed in Dubai for the first time in 2017 and only saw success from that point on. With a team of world-class baristas hailing from around the globe – including popular coffee hot spots Argentina, Venezuela, South Africa, and Uganda – and a mission to deliver quality coffee by roasting the best-imported beans daily, Drop enhances the coffee culture in UAE with fresh cups of robust, flavourful, and soulful coffee made with one of nine different brewing techniques.
With award-winning Chef Reif Othman, the man behind Reif Kushiyaki and Tero by Reif, collaborating on the popular coffee shop’s first-ever food menu, Drop’s culinary facet is guaranteed to impress the capital’s foodies and coffee aficionados. Diners will find a diverse range of options to choose from to satisfy any appetite. The menu is home to breakfast foods such as; pancake sandwich with fried eggs, crispy cauliflower and kale salad, avocado mash with feta cheese, and Drop’s signature breakfast which includes the works – eggs, baked beans, beef bacon, grilled chicken sausage, and sourdough bread.
Mains include dishes such as; chicken schnitzel with avocado salad, DropⓇ burger, grilled tiger prawns, grilled steak with fried eggs, and spaghetti with a variety of sauces available to choose from. Prices range from AED 55, for breakfast items and mains, up to AED 155 for bigger plates such as grilled steak and tiger prawns.
The co-owner of Drop Coffee, Ghanim Alqassim, expresses his excitement about the new launch, saying, “With the launch of our first branch in the capital, we are excited to announce that we have made a major upgrade to the concept of Drop to now include a food menu, that was created in collaboration with a world-class, award-winning chef, while maintaining a strong emphasis on serving high quality coffee that our customers are used to and retaining our distinct Drop personality and flair. We look forward to welcoming our Abu Dhabi friends to Drop.”
Drop Coffee is opened at Yas Bay, Abu Dhabi. The capital’s first Drop venue will welcome guests early at 8am, and will close at 11pm from Monday to Friday.
