Known for its authentic Italian cuisine, Isola Restaurant has been a welcome addition to the Jumeirah Islands Clubhouse. Continuing to bring exclusive dining experiences, this March 1st and 2nd will see Isola Restaurant host guest Michelin Star Chef Giuseppe D’Aquino from “Ristorante Famiglia Rana”, Verona Italy, for a special “South to North Four Hands Dinner – A Journey to the Islands of Italy” alongside the Brand Chef Francesco Bagnato. With two dinner seatings per evening, the first at 7:30pm – 9pm and the second at 9pm – 10:30pm, packages for this culinary journey include AED450 for food only or AED600 with beverages. The two chefs from the Italian south coast have worked previously, with Chef Francesco working as a Head Chef under the mentorship of Chef Giuseppe.
The menu is a tribute to Chef Giuseppe’s “Ristorante Famiglia Rana” in Verona, which was awarded its first Michelin Star in November 2022. At the heart of its philosophy lie continuous research and experimentation, the respect for the raw ingredients, passion, and love for authentic flavours. The “South to North Four Hands Dinner” will highlight a combination of Southern dishes from the coast (Panzanella), a variety of seafood as well as Parmigiana and pasta mista, all with a focus on the freshness and elevation of traditional dishes, proposing a new perspective on the cuisine for guests.
The six-course dinner will begin with an Amous Bouche of Panzanella Ricciola, marinated Amberjack fish with Datterino tomatoes, Tropea onion and fresh cucumber on fresh sour dough bread and garnished with basil. An Antipasti is then to be served of Melanzana e Gambero Rosso, Mazara shrimp atop flavourful eggplant and San Marzano tomatoes with a soft buffalo mozzarella and contrasting Parmigiano cheese with the added freshness of basil. The Pasta Course will be Pasta Mista, Provola Patate e Ricci di Mare, offering different shaped pastas, combined with potatoes, provolone del Monaco cheese and the unique flavour of fresh sea urchin. For the Main Course, the Chefs will create Triglia Doppia Cottura alla Puttanesca, red mullet with sweet Piennolo tomatoes, olives, and capers. Moving onto the sweet side of the evening, enjoy the Pre Dessert, Bellini (a), a mingling of peach, spumante wine and white chocolate. A Dessert of Cannolo Scomposto will conclude the evening, an embodiment of crunchy cannolo, Buffalo ricotta cheese, orange candite and pistachio crumbs.
