This April, COYA, the immersive Peruvian lifestyle experience, presents the inaugural edition of Mama Quilla, the brand’s global philanthropic celebration.
Blending meaningful philanthropy with COYA’s signature hospitality and vibrant Peruvian culture, the one-of-a-kind event draws inspiration from Mama Quilla, the revered Andean goddess that symbolises protection, femininity, fertility, and the lunar cycles.
Available from April 15 to May 15 in Dubai and April 20 to May 20 in Abu Dhabi, the special set menu is priced at AED 299 per person with 15% of all proceeds from the menu to be donated directly to Dubai Cares throughout the month-long campaign to empower children and youth with meaningful learning opportunities.
Empowering charitable partners
For the first edition of Mama Quilla, COYA has partnered with Dubai Cares, a UAE-based global philanthropic organisation that works to provide quality education to underprivileged children and youth in developing countries.
To support the work of the institute, diners at both COYA Dubai and Abu Dhabi are encouraged to purchase the limited-edition Mama Quilla set menu, a curated collection of recipes that includes a special Mama Quilla-themed dessert and mocktail.
Priced at AED 299 per person, the dedicated set menu is available from April 15 to May 15 at COYA Dubai

Enlightening pre-event panel
Ahead of the Mama Quilla celebrations, COYA Dubai will host a panel discussion on Thursday, April 17 that is designed to address the importance of women empowerment, initiate conversations and dialogues about equality, and explore the barriers that are preventing women from achieving their full potential.
Taking place from 12.30pm to 2:30pm and hosted in collaboration with Women’s Choice, the global community that aims to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, the expert panel will feature the insights of Irina Donkoglova, Global Head of People & Culture at COYA, and a select line up successful and inspirational women from across the region.
Unforgettable experiences, inspiring women and important causes
The campaign runs at COYA Abu Dhabi from April 20 to May 20
On April 24, guests at COYA Abu Dhabi will be treated to an immersive showcase by Emilie Dubois, Art Educator and Curatorial Liaison at the Bassam Freiha Art Foundation. Playing into her Latin American roots, Emilie’s vibrant and contemporary works explore themes of identity, emotion, and nature through bold colours and abstract forms, offering a powerful visual journey that invites personal reflection and deep contemplation.
Meanwhile, guests at COYA Dubai will be invited to roll up their sleeves and learn how to prepare authentic Peruvian ceviche with Chef Penelope Diaz, the brains behind Fusion Ceviche restaurant in Dubai. Taking place on April 24 and elevated with tunes from DJ Mendez, one of Dubai’s most electric female DJs, the unforgettable masterclass will also include a choice of premium beverages and canapés, all for just AED 220 per person. Following the interactive session, guests are invited to extend their experience with the Mama Quilla set menu, and immerse themselves even further into the world of Peruvian culture.
On April 25, Mama Quilla will then continue at COYA Dubai with an exclusive showcase of Lace & Line: A Monochrome Exploration of Intricate Femininity, the new collection by Emirati illustrator Marwa Hashim. Known for her unique black and white style and her ability to capture emotion through minimalism, Hashim’s collection for COYA is inspired by Mama Quilla’s themes of identity, resilience, and grace, and the beauty of Peruvian culture.
Throughout the evening, guests will have the opportunity to chat and connect with Hashim and learn about her creative process. Accompanied by a selection of complimentary mocktails and canapés, the showcase will conclude with a live performance from the GoodVibes Duet in the Pisco Bar, while the mesmerising themed decor adds to the sense of transformation and empowerment.
“Mama Quilla reflects COYA’s ongoing commitment to philanthropy, cultural preservation, and driving positive change,” says Yannis Stanisière, Chief Operating Officer of COYA. “By honouring our Peruvian roots and the empowering symbolism of Mama Quilla, we offer an authentic and impactful experience that combines charitable support for women’s empowerment with the world-class hospitality COYA is known for. This is not just an event; it’s a chance for our guests, patrons, and partners to come together and make a difference while enjoying an exceptional dining and lifestyle experience.”
Amal Al Redha, Director of Partnerships, Dubai Cares, said: “COYA is setting a new benchmark for how the F&B industry can meaningfully engage in philanthropy, integrating social impact into the very heart of the dining experience. Through this collaboration, we are not only raising vital funds for education but also inspiring a new standard of community-driven hospitality that resonates deeply with today’s conscious consumer. We are grateful to COYA for this enriching collaboration that will leave a lasting impact not only on the lives of children gaining access to quality education, but also on the way the F&B sector views its role in creating positive change.”
Nezha Alaoui, CEO of Women Choice says: “At Women Choice, we have always believed that true empowerment begins with spaces that celebrate women’s stories, creativity, and strength. Mama Quilla is one of those rare initiatives that brings purpose and culture together in a meaningful way. It’s an honour to be part of a celebration that not only uplifts women but also sparks important conversations around inclusion, identity, and collective progress.”
The inaugural Mama Quilla celebrations will take place on April 24 at COYA Abu Dhabi and from April 24 to 25 at COYA Dubai.
