The McGettigan Group has opened its fourth Dubai McGettigan’s Irish Pub at Souk Madinat Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim in the site that was previously occupied by Frioul restaurant.
The new McGettigan’s Madinat soft opening phase commences on 17 August, with the official launch party to take place in September.
McGettigan Group CEO, Dennis McGettigan said: “We are excited to launch McGettigan’s pub at Madinat Jumeirah and bring our famous Irish hospitality to an area that is known for top-class dining.”
The Madinat branch, which has an indoor capacity for up to 400 people inside and outside, offers views of Burj AL Arab and the souk waterways.
The venue reflects the core concept of the McGettigan’s destinations in JLT and DWTC, with live music, sports, food and beverage and contemporary décor.
The venue is accessible from the main entrance of Souk Madinat Jumeirah close to the taxi drop-off point and car park.
Guests can enter McGettigan’s via a staircase next to Pacha Ibiza Dubai, which leads down onto the waterway and outdoor terrace area of the Irish bar.
Open for lunch and dinner, the menu comprises a mix of international cuisines alongside traditional Irish menu items.
The new menu will offer McGettigan’s signature dishes alongside new items created exclusively for the Madinat Jumeirah venue, including grilled sea bass, steak tartar, salmon sashimi, seafood broth, Irish artisan cheeses and Irish mussels.
A range of offers and promotions will be available throughout the week, with Happy Hour running daily on selected house beverages between 2pm and 8pm, for AED 29.
Tuesday is Ladies’ Night, with women offered four complimentary drinks and an exclusive menu of small dishes (AED 30 each) and sharing platters for four (AED 110).
Other offers will be introduced over the coming weeks, including ‘The Long Lunch’, which will take place every Friday.
The Long Lunch consists of a three course meal from an exclusive à la carte menu plus five drinks (including selected bubbles, wine, beer, spirits, Magners and Guinness) any time between noon and 5pm for AED 279.
Guests can also opt for a free flowing drinks package for AED 349 and a post-brunch drinks package will be available for AED 199 from 5pm-8pm.
Every Saturday and Sunday from 27 August, McGettigan’s will offer a traditional Irish roast dinner with all the trimmings from noon for AED 109.
McGettigan’s Madinat will show all the latest sporting action from rugby to football, GAA games, cricket and tennis, with all team colours welcome, and the option to show games on request.
