This Ramadan, Media One Hotel has installed a sharing fridge accessible to those in need in Dubai Media City.
Executive chef Girish Babu and his team have been stocking the fridge daily with items including fresh fruit, water and juice for those in need.
The sharing fridge is part of the ‘Media One Cares’ initiative, which sees the hotel support various charitable organisations and green initiatives.
Caroline Rowe, director of marketing and communications at Media One, said: “Media One Cares is a fundamental part of what we do as a team and we are proud to be a part of the Ramadan Sharing Fridge initiative this year.
“Our day-to-day operations have a heavy food and beverage focus, so we jumped at the chance to contribute and reinforce the sense of community spirit during the Holy Month. We invite all to help themselves freely from the fridge.”
Everyone is welcome to contribute to the fridge, and items encouraged are laban, fresh fruit and vegetables, tinned food, biscuits, juice and soda.
Hot foods, leftovers and anything that can spoil easily should not be placed in the fridge.
