Satisfying appetites for delicious Italian food since 1965, PizzaExpress is a staple in UAE’s food and beverage landscape. Having diversified their consumer base, with more vibrant venues such as Jazz@PizzaExpress and PizzaExpress Live, whilst maintaining their rich flavours through the decades, PizzaExpress is now dedicated to offering more eco-conscious, plant-based options to reduce their environmental impact and help improve the planet’s current conditions.
Impossible Foods’ flagship product, Impossible™ Burger, launched in the UAE earlier last year, and the company is quickly expanding its footprint. Recently launched at Man’oushe Street, the first Arabic restaurant chain to serve the award-winning plant-based meat, Impossible Foods’ mission remains to convert traditional meat lovers to plant-based meat by accurately imitating the flavour, texture, and cooking process of animal meat.
“Impossible Beef is designed to taste and function just like beef from cows and stands out especially well in cuisines that traditionally feature beefy dishes. We’re delighted to welcome a customer who can continue to showcase the culinary versatility of the product,” says Laurent Stevenart, a General Manager at Impossible Foods. “Our vision is to make our product as available and accessible as conventional animal meat, and that includes featuring at creative and beloved establishments like PizzaExpress.”
Commenting on the launch, Prashanth Menon, Regional Director of PizzaExpress UAE, said, “Restaurant chains across the globe are consistently launching new plant-based and meat alternative options to cater to an increasingly flexitarian demographic of consumers. Moving towards a plant-based diet is vital to avoid the worst impacts of climate change, so it is truly inspiring to be helping customers to be kinder to themselves and to the planet at the same time.”
