Famous Japanese Culinary Restaurant Origami Sushi turns 8 this December! Holding the same set of values it did eight years ago, Origami Sushi has revolutionized Japanese eating in Dubai. On the occasion of its 8th anniversary, Origami Sushi launches a special collaboration with Emirati artist Shaima Al Qassab, a self-taught visual artist and a skilled Chemical Engineer who founded Shaimas Arts in 2020.
Shaima has created a unique artwork on Origami’s specially customized anniversary menu that will house its newly launched dishes by Chef Dave Mangiliman. This artwork combines the artist’s three favourite themes: the love for her country UAE and its prosperity while combining one of her favourite cuisines i.e. Japanese and expressing her feelings and ideas through art.
The special artwork design presents a lily flower with its beautiful seven petals presenting the seven Emirates. Within the flower, there are eight stamens celebrating 8 years of Origami Sushi. The 7 leaves represent 7 Emirates, while 8 petals represent 8 years of Origami. The blue color represents a flowing river that is resilient and is never stopped by a rock, this is exactly what the UAE and the Founders of Origami have among their core values.
The intricately designed menu will be available at all locations throughout the month of December.
