KBW Ventures founder and CEO, Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed, will join a number of industry ecosystem leaders for the 2022 edition of Future Food Tech in San Francisco, California.
The first in-person gathering of food tech ecosystem partners since the onset of the pandemic, the event will take place March 24-25, 2022, sponsored by key players in the sector including Platinum Partners, Accenture, Givaudan, and Motif FoodWorks, and Innovation Partners, Kellogg’s and Danone.
Prince Khaled, as a member of the Summit advisory board helping to structure the event’s content stream and 2022 priorities, will also participate in an investor panel discussion alongside Pae Wu, CTO of IndieBio and Partner at SOSV, Deena Shakir, Partner at Lux Capital, Philip Erlanger, Managing Partner at Pontifax, and Josko Babanovic, Partner, Industrial Biotechnology Funds, Sofinnova Partners.
Under the banner of ‘Funding Blueprints for Sustainable Growth’ moderator Ryan Shadrick Wilson, Chairperson of Feeding Change & Senior Advisor to the Milken Institute, will guide the investors through a conversation around financing sustainability while turning a profit, the role of web 3.0 in food venture financing, and what takeaways investors have ported over from other industries.
Future Food Tech brings together promising and established food brands, food tech investors, supply chain businesses, industry experts and insiders, technologists, and more, for a comprehensive two-day program that spans subject matter from both the B2B and B2C realms.
Ahead of the Summit, Prince Khaled highlighted that KBW Ventures would be actively seeking out “supply chain and ingredient” ventures, and would continue to back businesses working toward cell-based and precision fermentation models.
The hybrid event will be livestreamed, allowing for collaboration and networking to take place both online and offline. Additionally, the event agenda also includes a startup pitch competition, and a pre-Summit workshop on Scaling Microbial Fermentation at IndieBio headquarters.
