MATAGI at Raffles The Palm Dubai is hosting an exclusive Chef’s Table experience that takes diners on a culinary journey through Japan.
On May 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, the restaurant’s all-star team, comprising of a Japanese Sushi Master and two Michelin star-awarded chefs who combined have more than 90 years’ experience in authentic Japanese cooking, will serve a curated 9-course meal featuring the best of modern Japanese cuisine for up to 12 guests per night.
Priced from AED 750 per person for the non-alcoholic package and AED 950 per person with Saké and cocktail pairing, the experience brings an unmatched opportunity to sample unique dishes from MATAGI’s elevated menu at a one off, special event.
From 7PM onwards, diners will delve into authentic Japanese flavours, aromas, and textures created with the highest quality produce and traditional cooking techniques, all delivered with personalised and attentive service, with memorable touches such as a classic Japanese tea ceremony.
To start is the Fried Japanese Glass Fish, followed by a mouth-watering Chawanmushi, a steamed egg custard with king crab and bafun uni and a flavoursome MATAGI Tuna Burger with Kristal caviar. Chirashizushu comes next, a deconstructed sushi dish, which is followed by Spring Meji Tuna Tataki, a charcoal seared Japanese young spring tuna with delicious house made ponzu. The next course includes succulent A5 Wagyu Beef Maki with shiso and sweet soy, and a Charcoal Kissed Japanese Nodogury prepared with smoked spring bamboo shoot. A final course of A5 Wagyu Beef Shabu Shabu with spring mushrooms will be served, followed by a delectable dessert, comprising of ice cream which boasts the flavours of sesame and Japanese Mandarin.
