Operating equipment and uniform supplier, A. Ronai LLC, and in-room supplies and chinaware supplier, Direct Hotel Supplies (DHS), have announced a merger.
The deal will generate synergies across all product lines and broaden the brand profiles.
Gavin Dodd, owner and managing director of A. Ronai LLC, said: “A. Ronai LLC are delighted to be joining forces with DHS. We are confident that together we can provide an enhanced solution to the horeca market. It is our hope that with this merger we become the choice supplier to the hospitality industry in the Middle East.”
Alongside the merger, Stuart Wilkinson has been appointed as chief operating officer. He was previously vice president of sales at Steelite International.
Established in the UK in 1947 and the UAE since 2006, A. Ronai LLC is the Middle East distributor of Steelite International, Oneida, F. Dick Chef’s Knives, Genware, Bonzer, and Glass & Co among others.
Ronai also has its own garment brand, created by an in-house designer and manufactured in the UAE with fabric sourced from worldwide uniform fabric suppliers.
The “Uniforms by Ronai” catalogue features garments suitable for varied job functions with available stock.
Among the companies and brands Ronai supplies are Dnata, Arabian Adventures, Sheraton Hotels, and Jumeirah Group.
Direct Hotel Supplies was established in Dubai in 2002, offering hospitality operating supplies and catering to the horeca industry. It provides on-demand products and door-to-door deliveries.
Manesh Balani, owner and managing director of DHS, said: “I am excited by the opportunities that are being created by our teams operating jointly. Our plans for an increased product portfolio and new sales channels will bring greater convenience to our customers.”
Offering fixed pricing, stock holding and a sales force with industry knowledge, the new company will continue to operate both brands in the initial stages with Ronai focused on direct sales and DHS on retail.
