Experience a slow rail journey through Northern India with Tandoor Tina’s tantalizing Afternoon Tea. Designed by Chef Trish Singh Henault, the newly launched concept brings together irresistible contemporary Indian food with exotic teas and delicious cocktails to curate a unique new dining experience that is perfect for those never-ending weekday afternoons.
Taking place Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 4pm to 7pm, Afternoon Tea guests will be able to choose between a non-vegetarian and vegetarian set menu option featuring original creations by Chef Trish which perfectly blend delicately spiced flavours from the East with influences from the West. Unmissable menu items include the Comté, Pine-Nut Potato Samosa, Pickled Shrimp Khandavi, Coronation Chicken Tart, Mint Chutney Avocado With Sundried Tomato Sandwich and Confit Garlic Duck Mini Croissant. For the dessert afficionados, the afternoon tea includes is an inspired array of mouthwatering options such as the Chocolate Mango Bite, Rose-Raspberry Chouxand Truffle Parmesan Macaron.
Presented inside a quirky Jaipur pink luggage box and served with Tandoor Tina’s cult-favourite Masala Chai, as well as teas, coffees and refreshing beverages, the totally ‘grammable experience is a feast for the senses. For those wanting a daytime tipple, an alcoholic package is also available, allowing guests to choose two flavourful cocktails from a curated selection.
Commenting on the inspiration behind Tandoor Tina’s Afternoon Tea experience, Chef Trish Singh Henault said,¨Inspired from my childhood journey via train through India, vacationing with family, time was best spent on these with tons of laughter, board games and food. Usually, a journey of a day or 2, the vacation used to start as soon as we´d set foot on the train even before reaching our final destination. With every train stop, food vendors used to enter the train with that city´s specialty, it was a food journey in itself along with karak chai. This menu is very much inspired with my twist on them¨
