As part of its CSR initiatives, LEGOLAND® Hotel, part of LEGOLAND® Dubai Resort, recently hosted 3 of the Masaka Kids Africana on the occasion of the ‘World Children’s Day’ in collaboration with Global Village.
The nonprofit organization, Masaka Kids Africana, based in Uganda, is committed to helping children who have lost one or both of their parents to disease, starvation, or war with education and social well-being, through their talents, as well as help them recognise their own potential and have hope for the future. Due to their dance videos to well-known songs, which were put on their Social Media channels and shared by thousands of fans, including worldwide celebrities, those young and talented children were acknowledged by millions of people all over the world.
The management and team of LEGOLAND Dubai Resort were happy to entertain Prince, Mohamed, and Bosko, three of the young and brilliant Masaka Kids Africana during their first visit to Dubai at LEGOLAND Hotel – the region’s first LEGO® themed hotel that provides kids with unique LEGOLAND® adventures. Prince, Mohamed, and Bosko enjoyed a fantastic LEGOLAND® journey with the unique kids’ amenities and services that are unmatched to any other hotel in the area. Enjoying creative workshops, participating in nonstop games and kids’ activities at the hotel, sleeping in the fully themed Adventure suite with its in-room treasure hunt as well as meeting and dancing with Ollie, the beloved LEGOLAND® Character by all young ones – were just a few of the many activities that the Masaka Kids have enjoyed.
The three Masaka Kids, aged 6, 6 and 5 years old also extended their LEGOLAND adventure by visiting LEGOLAND® Water Park and LEGOLAND ® Dubai theme park, where they enjoyed various rides out of the 60 rides and attractions – perfect for their ages as well as children aged 2- 12 years.
Every team member of the LEGOLAND Dubai Resort was thrilled by the Masaka Kids’ enthusiasm, pleasure, and excitement during their LEGOLAND adventure at LEGOLAND Hotel, LEGOLAND Dubai theme park and LEGOLAND Water Park.
Masaka Kids Africana were invited to Dubai by Global Village to promote international togetherness and awareness of child welfare as part of International Children’s Day. During the trip the children melted the hearts of Global Village audiences with their charming smiles and infectious positivity displayed through dance, song and their love for Uganda.’
This CSR initiative is one of several collaborations taking place between LEGOLAND Dubai Resort and various organisations on a local, regional and international level, as part of its commitment to giving back to the community.
