Deutsche Hospitality has entered into a franchise agreement with Valor Hospitality and Globus Hotels, announcing the signing of its newest property, IntercityHotel Tashkent, set to open in Uzbekistan’s capital in Q1 2023.
IntercityHotel Tashkent, located in the heart of the commercial hub of Mirabad, is part of Deutsche Hospitality’s expansion plans for the region, offering the perfect blend of comfort and mobility in Uzbekistan. The introduction of the hotel to Deutsche Hospitality’s global portfolio marks the group’s first property in the country.
Oliver Bonke, CEO Deutsche Hospitality, “We are excited to partner with Globus Hotels and Valor Hospitality on this amazing project. We believe Tashkent’s strategic location is a perfect fit for the first IntercityHotel in Uzbekistan.”
Reflecting the brand identity of IntercityHotel, the new property will be situated in a central location just minutes away from Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport, tourist sights, business centres, and train stations. Featuring 122 keys, the hotel invites guests to relax and connect with the destination and its people, while offering state-of-the-art amenities such as a full-service gym, deluxe spa facilities, and two dining outlets catering to all tastes.
“Valor Hospitality has long pursued opportunities in Uzbekistan, and we are thrilled to be announcing the IntercityHotel Tashkent,” said Julien Bergue, Co-founder and Managing Partner for Valor Hospitality Partners Middle East & CIS. “Following our exciting signing of the Hyatt Regency in Bukhara last year, making it the city’s first five-star hotel, we partnered with Deutsche Hospitality to bring diversity to the Uzbekistan hospitality landscape and become a regional driver. Our local on-the-ground partners HotelsPro continue to support our initiatives in Uzbekistan and we remain committed to growing with them,” added Bergue.
Deutsche Hospitality continues to advance its global expansion via a combination of strategic alliances, management contracts, franchises, and investments. The group’s regional portfolio currently comprises 23 properties in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, UAE, and Egypt. Its worldwide footprint extends to more than 160 hotels across three continents.
