A Dubai classic, Celebrities has reopened for dinner at the Palace, One&Only Royal Mirage, after a short pandemic pause. It stands strong under a new culinary direction from Chef Mauro Colagreco, serving relaxed French elegance with a glimpse of glamour.
As part of his renewed partnership with the resort, Chef Mauro reimagines the classics with a lighter, modern touch. Reflective of Chef Mauro’s continuous innovation and creative approach to cuisine, Celebrities promises convivial French dining at its very best.
Originally from Argentina, Chef Mauro has spent the past 20 years perfecting his craft in France. His restaurant Mirazur, on the French Riviera, was named the world’s best restaurant in 2019, and Chef Mauro was the first non-French chef to be awarded three Michelin stars in France. Today, his cuisine is representative of these diverse influences and experiences, showcasing the lighter, fresher flavours of the South of France and the Mediterranean.
Of his passion, he says, “I am from so many influences, but above all I am a cook and I love to cook. My food comes from my heart, and I love to share it with my guests. Celebrities is famed for its impeccable classic cuisine and it has been an icon in Dubai for the past two decades. For its reopening, we wanted to bring more freshness, in the style of the food and the service, to make it less formal and more comfortable for the guests, and yet still elegant.”
Sharing is central to the new Celebrities ideology, with a menu selection that plays to the sociable trend of the city. Alongside reworked classics such as la tarte truffe noire (black truffle tart) and bouillabaisse, the menu offers a range of mains designed to share. Couples can converse over sole meuniere, le bar en croute de sel (salt-crusted wild sea bass), or la selle d’agneau (roasted Iberico lamb saddle) before a flourishing finish with flambéed desserts, such as the ever-popular crêpes Suzette and l’omelette norvégienne (baked Alaska).
At the bar, guests can begin the night with champagne and aperitifs, or return after dinner for digestifs and whiskies. Our mixologist is on hand to create bespoke drinks, including a new collection of cocktails inspired by famous Parisian landmarks.
Refined and elegant, the indoor dining room seats 70 and boasts stunning views over the resort’s beach front esplanade. The ambience is inviting and inclusive, with little room for pretentiousness, making it a favoured space to catch up over dinner and drinks in the cosy lounge, or under a starlit sky on the alfresco terrace.
With its intuitive service and effortlessly elegant setting, Celebrities remains a place to impress, where memorable moments are created and shared among friends and family.
