Partners of the monthly Al Hamra Market were invited to create exclusive dishes during a special food festival-inspired two-day event on 24 and 25 March.
The event saw the market’s Gourmet Corner transformed into a destination for foodies with vendors offering their new creations.
Al Hamra Real Estate Development general manager Benoy Kurien said: “The Al Hamra Market series has been a resounding success, culminating in one of our most popular markets to date. March has been a month-long celebration of the UAE’s culinary credentials and we’re pleased to have played our part in showcasing Al Hamra Village and Ras Al Khaimah’s fantastic foodie offering.
“With dining under the spotlight in the emirates in March, we wanted to take this a step further by inviting our food and beverage partners to create exclusive dishes that excite the taste buds of our regular guests, and entice new visitors to come and discover our delicious offering.”
The vendors that took part included Gataby House of Cookies, which launched an Al Hamra Arabic Coffee Cookie with saffron, ginger and cardamom; Voltage Burger, with its spicy and highly-stacked Jebel Jais Burger and RAK Pancake, which showcased live baking of its Al Hamra savoury banana and chocolate mini pancake sandwiches.
Camy’s Canadian Pizza unveiled a ‘UAE Pizza’ – a pizza shawarma in the colour of the UAE flag, and Nando’s gave guests a taste of its traditional Ketaki Shah served in an authentic copper dish.
In addition to its magician and bouncy castles, Al Hamra Market has introduced an open-air cinema for families to enjoy after visiting the market stalls.
Other children’s activities on offer at the event included an edutainment corner with Balloon Plus and Sand Castles, Al Dahaisa Stables and RAK Animal Welfare Centre petting zoo.
“As the market grows in popularity, we are striving to offer our guests something new to enjoy each time. Our March event is set to be the best yet, with a roster of fun activities for all the family that capture the true spirit of Al Hamra,” said Kurien.
The Al Hamra Market series, which takes place at Al Hamra Marina in the heart of the Al Hamra Village development, is organised by Ras al Khaimah-headquartered Al Hamra Real Estate Development and has been running since October 2015.
