Hailing from Mexico, Hector Martell joins Anantara from his most recent role as Senior Sommelier as Five Lux Hotel in Dubai. His journey has taken him from his first role in Cancun to Dubai’s culinary elite, where he first served at the Art’s Club in DIFC.
Hector’s knowledge spans old and new-world wines, sake pairing, and curating bespoke wine lists. His deep understanding of gastronomy and commitment to delivering excellence in beverage service are complemented by his certifications, including WSET Level 2 Wines and a degree in Gastronomy from Universidad de Londres, Mexico.
