Aqua, the award-winning all-day-dining restaurant located in Rosewood Abu Dhabi, has launched a new vegan night on Sundays.
The hotel, located on Al Maryah Island, now features a plant-based, meat-free feast. Held every Sunday, ‘V for Vegan’ nights launched on September 8, bringing to Abu Dhabi the first and only plant-based dinner buffet in the capital.
“There was a clear appetite for a regular vegan event in Abu Dhabi, and we’ve been working hard to meet the demands of our vegan community. The launch exceeded our expectations and we’ve witnessed a consistent growth on reservations made at our 94-seat capacity restaurant,” says Chef Rukman Rathnayaka, the vegan cuisine expert at Rosewood Abu Dhabi.
Served from 7pm until 10.30pm, the theme night offers vegan starters, mains and desserts priced at AED 180. The set-up also includes an unlimited package of organic vegan hops and grapes that can be paired with the dinner for an additional AED 80.
The buffet consists of a bread corner, a salad bar, soups and dim sum for starters followed by a variety of mains, such as sweet miso eggplant, steamed silken tofu broccolini, vegan biryani and mac and cheese. The dinner also includes a sushi spread, a fritto corner, chips, burgers, a gluten-free pasta station, cold donburi, tossed soba and stir-fried dishes.
There’s a wide selection of desserts to complete the meal, including chocolate-chip banana cake, treacle coconut mango sago, roasted pecan nut brownie and soya milk cherry mousse.
