Banyan Tree Dubai is inviting guests on an extraordinary culinary journey with The Culinary Masters – a two-night eight-hands dinner series that showcases the resort’s most visionary culinary talent.
Taking place on Saturday, 24 May and Sunday, 25 May, this exclusive experience brings together the bold creativity and refined techniques of Chef Alvin Leung of Demon Duck, Chefs Taka and Hisa of TakaHisa, and Executive Chef Jonathan Bouthiaux, the creative force behind Banyan Tree Dubai’s distinctive gastronomic identity.
Set over two evenings, this rare eight-hands dinner experience will see four award-winning chefs collaborate across an exceptional eight-course menu that harmoniously blends Japanese elegance, Chinese innovation, and French finesse.
The series kicks off on Saturday, 24 May at Demon Duck, where guests are invited to experience Pan-Asian dining reimagined through the lens of the ‘Demon Chef’ himself, Chef Alvin Leung – renowned for his avant-garde culinary style and signature Slow-Roasted Demon Duck.
On Sunday, 25 May, the spotlight shifts to TakaHisa – recognised in the Michelin Guide as one of Dubai’s Best Japanese Restaurants. This intimate continuation of the eight-hands dinner promises a rare opportunity to explore the artistry of traditional Japanese cuisine at its highest level. Chefs Hisao Ueda and Taka bring decades of experience, having honed their craft in prestigious Kaiseki kitchens in Japan and beyond. During the experience, guests will enjoy an elegant showcase of the finest sushi and premium Wagyu, served with meticulous precision and reverence for the Japanese culinary philosophy.
Completing this exceptional collaboration is Chef Jonathan Bouthiaux, whose culinary leadership across Banyan Tree Dubai’s signature dining destinations lends cohesion and creative direction to the entire eight-hands dinner series. Originally from Brittany, France, Chef Jonathan’s journey spans Michelin-starred restaurants, luxury resorts, and celebrated kitchens across the globe. His expertise, storytelling, and globally inspired techniques are seamlessly woven into the multi-course experience, adding richness and depth to this unforgettable culinary gathering.
“The 8-hands dinner is more than just a meal — it’s a narrative shaped by four chefs, each bringing their soul, heritage, and creativity to the plate. It’s a privilege to be part of this collaboration — and just the beginning of many more to come at Banyan Tree Dubai,’’ he said.
Whether attending one evening or both, The Culinary Masters Eight-Hands Dinner promises an immersive and transformative dining experience that reflects Banyan Tree Dubai’s unwavering commitment to soulful hospitality and exceptional cuisine.
