Bars across Dubai are now allowed to reopen, according to new guidelines released on July 17 by the Government of Dubai and Dubai Tourism.
As with restaurants, there must be 2m between tables and drinks are not allowed to be served at the bar – with all other F&B regulations set by Dubai Municipality to be adhered to.
Used cutlery, glasses, and plates must be cleared up by members of staff, with customers discouraged from returning empty glasses to the bar. Complimentary snacks are not to be served, and drinks may not be shared.
No social gatherings or parties are allowed to take place.
Smoking is also now permitted in designated areas, following a similar announcement allowing hubbly bubbly service to resume in venues licensed to serve it.
Reopening permissions do not include nightclubs. Additionally, dance-floors are also to remain closed, while entertainment is limited to one performer, following guidelines issued earlier in June.
Any indoor sports activities in bars must be conducted in accordance with any guidelines laid out by Dubai Sports Council and Dubai Municipality.
