A café to plant the seeds for growth—for learning, meeting and socialising, Seed & Bloom was designed to transcend the traditional café experience with a focus on the community and local environment.
Opening this January at Al Raha Gardens Plaza, Seed & Bloom is set to blossom into a nurturing space for connection and community engagement.
While both coffee and bakery takeaway options are available for those on the move, Seed & Bloom invites guests to linger and connect. With indoor seating for 50 guests and a covered outdoor terrace accommodating 24, Seed & Bloom offers ample space to unwind, whether you prefer the warmth of the café’s interior or the serenity of its year-round covered outdoor retreat.
A Community Table
Inspired by nature’s simplicity and the transformative power of artisanal craftsmanship, this space emerges as a dynamic and flexible place to accommodate a range of community activities, from educational talks and baking classes to ceramics workshops, flower arranging and candle making.
With a thoughtfully curated retail offering and through partnerships with local suppliers like Mazaraa Farm Shop and The Unwrapped Store, the café is a celebration of what’s grown, baked and crafted in its own backyard.
By championing local artisans, trainers, and creators, Seed & Bloom fosters an environment of collaboration, ensuring the café remains a vibrant, relevant part of the community for years to come.
Each Dish Tells a Story
At Seed & Bloom, the menu reads like a love letter to seasonality and locality. Every loaf and pastry is made fresh daily, with a signature focaccia recipe taking centre stage. From buttery croissants to seasonal tarts and rustic loaves, the bakery offers a taste of simplicity elevated by time-honoured methods and the finest ingredients.
Head Chef Kevin McNulty, a veteran of kitchens helmed by Jason Atherton and the Galvin brothers, brings a culinary approach that’s both precise and unpretentious. Think bold flavours rooted in classic Western technique, enriched with Mediterranean, Asian and Arabic influences that add depth, vibrancy and a touch of global creativity.
Menu highlights? Blooming Focaccia, where whipped feta meets spiced honey in a playful dance of sweet and savoury. The Bloom Benedict, featuring tender pulled beef draped in velvety Hollandaise. Or the Muhammara Risotto, where the warmth of spices cradles creamy grains. End it all with the Lemon & Passion Fruit Tart, a dessert so sharp and bright it feels like a ray of sunshine dancing on your tongue.
Kevin McNulty says, “Our menu is all about showcasing the best of local produce and traditional techniques. Each dish tells a story of quality, creativity, and community, reflecting our dedication to crafting memorable culinary experiences.”
Locally Inspired and Sustainably Conscious
Seed & Bloom was born from a deep appreciation for nature’s simplicity and the transformative power of artisanal craftsmanship. More than just a café—it aims to provide guests with an immersive experience where they can leave with more than they arrived with: newly acquired skills, a greater sense of community, and a deeper connection to the world around them.
At the heart of Seed & Bloom’s ethos is also a commitment to inclusion and diversity. The café is thoughtfully designed to cater to a wide range of ages and skill levels, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and valued.
Meanwhile, sustainability permeates several aspects of the café, from its design to daily operations, with eco-friendly materials such as mycelium wall and ceiling panels, clay plaster, recycled paper tabletops and natural floral panels thoughtfully integrated throughout.
