UK-founded French Bistro Café Rouge has introduced a new menu with European breakfast options, such as smoked salmon and scrambled eggs on sourdough toast or mushroom frittatas with eggs, red pepper, red onion and spinach served with frisee lettuce.
The restaurant’s croissants add a French touch, accompanied with freshly ground coffee.
Lunch and dinner options include crumbed camembert with cranberry and redcurrant sauce and king prawns in garlic and smoked chilli butter.
Middle Eastern tastes are highlighted in dishes such as spiced lamb and beef sausage tartine, with rocket and hummus, while French classics include slow cooked beef bourguignon with green beans, carrots and herb mash on the side.
The dessert menu is mainly French-inspired desserts, with crème brûlée and raspberry sorbet and a traditional apple and sweet pastry tart with caramelised hazelnut crunch with vanilla ice cream.
More decadent options are chocolate fondant with raspberry sorbet or the chocolate, banana and praline torte, served with salted caramel ice cream, hot chocolate sauce and white chocolate shavings.
