Camel milk is the next big thing when it comes to healthy products.
Hotel News Middle East spoke to Mazen Mohamed, production development and production QC manager Camelicious, at last week’s Gulfood event in Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC).
“Camel milk is full of benefits, it has different protein structures to cow’s milk so it allows people who are lactose intolerant to drink milk,” said Mohamed.
“It also has anti cancer agents and is more rich in vitamin C and calcium than cow’s milk, it will boost the well being of people.”

We have developed 10 variants of ice-cream, chocolate and vanilla and other authentic flavours including dates, saffron, cinnamon, ginger, pistachio and hazelnut.
“2017 will be the big year for camel milk,” said Mohamed.
“The portfolio is ready and fits the need of the consumer, 2017 will see more penetration for us in different market segments, simply because people are more aware of the benefits of eating healthy.”
