Le Petit Cornichon, one of the five Morocco-based restaurants featured on MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025, will host a special two-night takeover with Chef Robin Höfer, Executive Chef of Kraken and a rising talent recently shortlisted as Gault&Millau UAE’s Future Great of the Year 2025. The collaboration will take place on Friday, 5 December and Saturday, 6 December, bringing Chef Robin’s creative technique and ingredient-led approach to Marrakech for the very first time.
Chef Robin grew up in Überlingen on the shores of Lake Constance, where early memories of foraging and fishing shaped the instinctive style he’s known for today. His career path has taken him through MICHELIN-starred kitchens across Europe and the Middle East, including Ossiano in Dubai, Disfrutar in Barcelona and Core by Clare Smyth in London, before building a reputation for thoughtful, experience-driven dining in the UAE.
For this two-night experience, Chef Robin brings together the flavours, textures and memories that have always been his signature. The evening opens with the Golden Egg made with crab, tapioca and tom kha, followed by the Amaranth Cracker with cured hamachi, corn and leche de tigre. His take on Pizza layers tuna, piquillo, olive oil and pistachio, while the Oyster pairs
jalapeño granita with sour cream and cucumber. The Maultasche carries Parmesan foam, beef cecina, a pesto sphere and roasted pine seeds. A bright Burnt Lemon brings Moroccan tea gelée, lumi and melissa cress into the mix.
Dessert unfolds in two delightful parts. Strawberry with yoghurt, basil and pink pepper, followed by Chocolate splash praline waffle flakes with Moroccan spices.
Speaking about the collaboration, Erwann Lance, founder of Le Petit Cornichon says,
“Hosting Chef Robin is an honour for us. His way of building flavour has a clear sense of identity and we’re proud to welcome him to Marrakech and bring his style of cooking to our guests.”
“I’m incredibly excited to be in Morocco for the first time. Marrakech has an energy of its own and the chance to explore local ingredients while cooking at Le Petit Cornichon makes this experience even more special.”, adds Chef Robin Höfer
The dinner is priced at Dhs1,390 per person, with a 50% deposit needed to secure the reservation.
