The Pangolin, the brainchild of a collective of creatives that include renowned restaurateur Sergio Lopez and Australian chef Troy Payne, is set to open its doors in early 2020.
An extension of The Els Club in Dubai Sports City, the 60,000 sq ft site includes a purpose-built complex that sprawls across two floors. The Pangolin’s menu that features dishes with an African twist on traditional European flavours will also be sure to bring back nostalgic memories and stories from around the dinner table.
The Pangolin will feature a ground-floor restaurant and casual bar which will be open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a deli with home-grown and home-made produce and on-site bakery and patisserie.
Its first-floor restaurant, and bar and lounge, will open for lunch and dinner. The sprawling first-floor terrace with an open fire pit will serve from lunchtime and have special weekend food offerings.
Built on the concepts of heritage, nostalgia and belonging, The Pangolin will focus on the community spirit and connecting people through real, honest and simply put, good food. It will be the perfect place to disconnect and reconnect with friends and loved ones throughout the week and in to the weekend.
