Emirates Leisure Retail (ELR) will launch a number of F&B outlets at the new Midfield Terminal Building (MTB) at Abu Dhabi International Airport.
ELR was selected as one of four partners to bring the new dining concepts, which will include a number of world-firsts developed with long-term partners and brands new to the airport.
More details on the specific brand and concepts to be introduced is to be reveled shortly.
Emirates Leisure Retail CEO, Andrew Day commented: “Our ongoing relationship with Abu Dhabi Airports has been highly successful, and we are truly delighted to be collaborating on some completely unique concepts for the Midfield Terminal Building.
“We are always looking for ways to innovate and introduce new and exciting offerings for our customers, and are extremely fortunate that Abu Dhabi Airports shares our vision for a progressive and forward thinking F&B plan.
“An airport terminal is the first impression passengers have on arrival and the last they have on departure – it plays an essential role in any journey and we are committed to ensuring it is a great experience in itself.”
Abu Dhabi Airports CEO, H.E. Eng. Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei said: “The F&B offering at the Midfield Terminal Building will challenge the very perception of F&B retailing in an airport environment thus far and will set the benchmark for dining concepts moving forward.
“Bearing in mind the wide demographic that we will be catering to, we are thrilled with the pioneering, avant-garde approaches that we have been able to gather together under one roof.”
Emirates Leisure Retail chief commercial officer Kevin Zajax added: “The Midfield Terminal Building is an exciting first for the Airport hospitality industry.
“Our inherent knowledge of the markets we work within will enable us to combine world-class experience with cherished Arabian hospitality and we look forward to this new opportunity to delight customers travelling through Abu Dhabi Airport.”
ELR, a subsidiary of Emirates Group, operates more than 260 outlets, with 75 airport premises catering to a potential audience of over 200 million passengers each year.
