BNC Publishing – the Dubai-based media house which publishes the Entrepreneur portfolio of magazines, in addition to Hotel News ME, Catering News ME, Logistics News ME and Construction Business New ME – is to produce the 2016 Gulfood Conference.
The two day event will take place February 22 – 23 at Conrad Dubai and will cover the topics of: Halal Food; Food Science and Manufacture; Global Food Security; and Public Health and The Food Industry over 20 panel sessions, keynotes and specialist presentations.
Composed to tackle the issues affecting F&B businesses, the conference will pave the way for industry debates on new regulatory frameworks; agriculture innovations; and the region’s growing obesity crisis.
Diarmuid O’Malley, publishing director, BNC Publishing, said: “The Gulfood Conference is one of the most important events in the calendar for F&B professionals, policy makers and business consultants. For the 2016 edition we have created an agenda that reaches the core of the industry’s activities and concerns, with conversations about changing business models, new business opportunities, and the areas where regulatory bodies and authorities can assert a positive change in 2016.”
The Gulfood Conference will be preceded by The F&B Business Forum, on February 21, at Dubai World Trade Centre.
Designed to bring together the UAE’s thriving F&B start up community, The F&B Business Forum will comprise sessions on international trading; franchising; the future of restaurant finance; and advice for F&B entrepreneurs.
Melanie Mingas, group editor – business division, BNC Publishing, added: “At a time when the F&B business is enjoying such runaway success across the region, it is important professionals are able to meet in a forum where their observations and experiences can be aired.
“We see new concepts opening on a daily basis and behind each is a business person who wants to bring something new to the industry. Yet, for an industry to develop, strong and thoughtful collaboration is required and that is exactly what the Gulfood Conference and The F&B Business Forum are designed to achieve,” she said.
The full list of speakers will be announced on February 1 and registration is now open for attendance via Gulfood@bncpublishing.net
