The 2016 edition of HOTEC Middle East is set to bring together technical directors, hotel purchasing managers and directors under one roof to meet and network with international and regional hospitality suppliers in a series of one-to-one meetings.
This year’s event is scheduled to take-place in Qatar, from 6-9 May 2016, with buyers and suppliers gathering at the newly opened Shangri-La Hotel in Doha for the duration of the daily gatherings. Unveiling why Qatar was chosen to
host this year’s event, Stephen Pace-Bonello, event director for HOTEC Middle East, explains: “HOTEC is a regional platform, offering international suppliers access to buyers from right across the region rather than just the city in which the event is organised in. The venue city is usually one which is relatively easy to travel to and within easy reach of other major cities in the region, allowing HOTEC delegates to include visits to prospective clients before and after the event. Ideally the city hosting HOTEC must be attractive from both a business and a leisure perspective. Doha, and the brand new Shangri-La hotel, tick all the boxes!”
HOTEC Middle East is expecting to welcome 60 delegates from 40 supplier companies, representing 20 different product categories and the 45 buyer places will be filled by decision makers representing hotel owners, operators and developers across the region.
With HOTEC open to international companies doing business in the Middle East, the gathering generally welcomes between 15-20 different nationalities, including suppliers from the USA, Canada, UK, Middle East and Europe, with buyers invited from across the Middle East and neighbouring countries, representing operations and projects in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman.
