Fine dining Indian restaurant Mahec at Le Meridien Village, Garhoud, has relaunched under new management, with refurbished interiors and a new menu.
The three co-owners of the restaurant are Rohit Khagram, managing director of RDK International, Kamlesh Parekh, known for Boudoir and GQ, and Bharat M. Harpalani, owner of AKs.
Parekh said: “Extensive research, detailed planning and many months of hard work has gone in determining the new interior, menu and promotions to offer an unmatched dining experience to residents and tourists.
“Our wide selection ranges from the home style coastal cuisine to mouth-watering tender and succulent tandoori dishes. Our all new vegetarian menu is a culinary masterpiece and is expected to become a favourite to all foodies.”
Chef Asif Khan will be at the helm of the culinary operation and some of the signature dishes on his menu are makhmeli murg tikka, sprout tikki, shanshay kofta, lamb parda biryani and Bombay pudding.
Chef Khan commented: “We want to offer fuss-free true authentic Indian dishes that every Indian can relate to as well as introduce others to some classics favourites of India. Every dish that goes out of the kitchen is personally crafted and designed, bringing a sense of nostalgia.”
The restaurant has 180 covers, including an outdoor terrace with shisha on offer, and seven TV screens will show sport from around the world.
