Jumeirah Group has made a series of senior leadership appointments to its management teams.
British National, Graham Kiy has been named as the group’s new regional vice president where in his role he will head operations across Greater China, where currently there are eight hotels in Jumeirah’s pipeline. Kiy will also continue his responsibilities leading the pre-opening-team for the new Jumeirah Guangzhou, a 198 room luxury hotel scheduled to open in 2019.
Commenting on his new role, Kiy, said: “I am delighted to be returning to China and am honoured to be charged with the opening of the Jumeirah Nanjing Hotel as well as lead the further expansion of our Jumeirah brand across the Greater China region. Jumeirah Nanjing is an exciting new property for Jumeirah in China. Nanjing is an important commercial centre and only an hour by train from Shanghai. Jumeirah Nanjing’s prime location within the city’s business district means that it will have strong appeal to the business traveller.”
In addition to Kiy’s appointment, the group have named Shafi Syed as the new group chief development officer, joining Jumeirah Group from Trump Hotels where he was regional vice president of development and acquisitions.
Other appointments include a new DOSM for Jumeirah Etihad towers with Tarek Madanat spearheading operations at the hotel, plus Yousef Tuqan Tuqan as the new group vice president of brand marketing and Lloyalty.
