Millennium Plaza Downtown Dubai, the iconic 5-star luxury venue, has announced the appointment of Bob Busman as its new Director of Operations. Busman brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having spent over 20 years in the hospitality industry across Europe and the Middle East with a proven track record of success in driving operational excellence and exceeding commercial objectives.
In his new role, Busman will oversee all operational aspects of Millennium Plaza Downtown Dubai, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the venue. This includes leading inter-departmental teams, implementing strategic initiatives for team development, driving profitability and enhancing guest satisfaction.

Before joining Millennium Plaza Downtown Dubai, Busman served as Director of Revenue at Sofitel The Palm, where he revolutionized the resort’s revenue management. Key achievements include establishing an advanced Revenue Management system, an automated daily revenue diary and a comprehensive Group Tracking Tool, significantly enhancing the resort’s financial performance and operational effectiveness.
Over his 14-year tenure at Radisson Hotel Group, culminating as Cluster Director of Revenue from 2019 to 2022, Busman skilfully managed revenue and reservations at Radisson Blu Dubai Deira Creek and Radisson RED Hotel Dubai Silicon Oasis. His key achievements included enhancing OTA marketing programs, implementing PMS and revenue systems for new openings and leading commercial strategy. Notably, he significantly increased the RGI from below fair share to being first in his compset and consistently exceeded RevPAR targets at both properties, demonstrating exceptional financial acumen and strategic market positioning.
