Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi has promoted Mark Sterner to the position of general manager.
Sterner has held the position of hotel manager of the five-star hotel since 2014.
Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi regional vice president and managing director Mark Griffiths said:”Over the past five years, Mark has proven himself to be a dedicated, talented and forward-thinking hotelier.
“We are delighted to recognise his achievements with his appointment to General Manager. His ability to implement creative and strategic plans and improve the guest experience across all facets of the hotel has been the key to his success.”
Sterner joined the Viceroy Hotel Group in 2012, taking the helm at Viceroy Maldives as general manager. Before this, he garnered extensive experience in roles at prominent hotels across the world including The Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland, Sandy Lane in Barbados, Rosewood Little Dix Bay in the British Virgin Islands, The Carlyle in New York and Burj Al Arab in Dubai.
Now, with over 21 years of experience, he is responsible for the 499 rooms and suites at the Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi.
