Northern Irish company, Environmental Street Furniture (ESF) recently supplied themed street furniture to the world’s largest indoor theme park, IMG Worlds of Adventure. Owned by the Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari Group and managed by IMG Worlds.
ESF supplied over 150 themed custom benches and 450 themed litter bins to the newly opened theme park.
Alan Lowry, CEO of ESF, said: “We are delighted to have been able to partner with IMG Worlds of Adventure to deliver products to such an amazing and prestigious theme park. This 1.5 million square feet indoor theme park is the largest of its kind and we designed custom litter bins and benches to their exact requirements. This was a fantastic and very creative project involving well known brands like Cartoon Network and Marvel in addition to IMG Worlds own original concepts, Lost Valley – Dinosaur Adventure and IMG Boulevard.”
“ESF has had global success previously with our standard product lines, but in 2015 we launched the ‘Style Collection’ with themed products for the Experience Attraction market. This includes theme parks, zoos, museums, water parks etc. This contract is our largest and most prestigious success to date and clearly shows our capabilities in this specialised sector. We hope it will help catapult ESF to the forefront of global theme park supply.”
The multibillion dollar entertainment destination is divided into four zones — Marvel, Lost Valley-Dinosaur Adventure, Cartoon Network and IMG Boulevard. ESF worked with local management, and the USA based design team to create themed site furnishings to match the Intellectual Property of each zone, using colour and graphics printed designs on their products.
Neil Dwyer, Director of Operations at IMG Worlds of Adventure added; “IMG Worlds of Adventure is looking to redefine the theme park experience and this means ensuring that all of the finer details such as the benches and litter bins contribute to making the overall experience as perfect as possible. The ESF team delivered on the brief, providing a seamless integration of these elements into their surroundings in the park. ESF has certainly helped to ensure that the experience within each zone is as fully-immersive as possible”.
Welcoming the news, Invest NI’s North East Regional Manager, Moira Loughran said; “Environmental Street Furniture (ESF) is gaining considerable momentum selling their products overseas and this sizable deal at such a prestigious location is a major achievement for the Newtownabbey business. We have been working closely with ESF to support the company’s growth plans and the business has benefited from Invest NI trade missions and in market advice in UAE to establish their customer base in the region. This success shows the value that Northern Ireland businesses can take from trade missions and from working with us.”
