Gavin Dodd, managing director, A. Ronai LLC, tells Catering News why the tableware and uniforms supplier is supporting The Big F&B Forum, set to take place on 20 September at Westin Mina Seyahi, for a second year running
Why have you chosen to support BNC Publishing’s Big F&B forum?
As a loyal ambassador to BNC events, Ronai is extremely happy to participate in the forum once again this year. We very much believe in supporting the great industry that we are a part of and events as professional as this are a great way of achieving our aim. With Dubai properties and visitor numbers set to increase in the coming years, it’s important for all related companies to stay ahead of the game, building and retaining crucial relationships with hospitality industry professionals
What is your opinion of the Middle East’s F&B landscape?
The F&B market in this region is continually shifting and the industry is obligated to keep up with its fast pace. Hospitality professionals must be in tune with consumer trends in order to remain relevant in a market that is brimming with dining and nightlife options. The most discerning chefs and restaurateurs are aware of new trends and normally add their own twist of creativity to what is happening on the global stage. As suppliers, we need to try and stay ahead of the curve and anticipate requirements by working with our international partners on new and on-trend products
What new products are you launching this year?
Since we are conscious of market trends, our Uniforms by Ronai catalogue continues to develop with updates and improvements on our designs and fabrics providing the best collection for the hospitality industry and beyond.
What are your company’s plans for the next 12 months?
With continued development across the UAE and beyond we anticipate a growth in more mid-market hotels as well as theme parks and attractions encouraging more and more visitors to the region. It is our intention to expand our range to accommodate these requirements, while looking towards new projects across the Middle East.
