Butter by the Dozen unveils the timeless tradition of the baker’s dozen, where a dozen means 13 instead of 12, ensuring customers receive an extra treat in every dozen ordered. Led by Asma and her dedicated team, Butter by the Dozen goes beyond baking cookies; it’s a carefully crafted experience that honours the essence of baking. With a focus on three classic flavours including the Valrhona® Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter, and Nutella, each variety is freshly baked in-house in small batches daily. Embracing a traditional approach, Butter by the Dozen uses butter whipped from Danish cows, infusing each cookie with a rich, nutty flavour through Asma’s signature browning technique. The process is meticulous, taking three days to perfect with Asma’s final touch of sea salt flakes adding a delicate balance of flavour. With every bite into each cookie, customers experience a unique harmony of gooey centres and crisp, crumbly edges that embody the heart and soul of Butter by the Dozen’s creations.

Growing up in a family deeply immersed in the culinary arts, Asma’s journey led her through the corridors of Deliveroo, where she overlooking a diverse portfolio of brands – there she honed her skills and gained invaluable insights into the ever-growing food scene. It was during her adventures abroad in the United States that she discovered her love for cookies, sparking a culinary trajectory that ultimately led to the creation of Butter by the Dozen—a testament to her dedication and love for crafting the perfect chocolate chip cookie. As an alumna of ICCA Patisserie, Asma blended her expertise with her passion for baking, culminating in the creation of the homegrown concept, Butter by the Dozen. “Leaving my cosy corporate job wasn’t a cakewalk, but deep down, I knew I was craving more. As I edge closer to bidding farewell to my twenties, the itch to turn my baking passion into a full-blown brand was too strong to ignore. I know I couldn’t do this alone, so I sought mentorship from Rowan & Ziad at Rosy Hospitality who I’ve known since my Deliveroo days being their account manager for their successful Go! Brands. Together, we’re turning my sweet dreams into a reality.
Now, I’m knee-deep in flour, whisking up batches of cookies that I may spend just a smidge too much time perfecting. But let me tell you, every drop of sweat and every tear shed is worth it.
