The Locale restaurant has introduced The Taste Of Dubai – a signature dessert from the community-led dining establishment at Andaz Dubai the Palm.
A velvety chocolate mousse with rose-flavoured berry compote, Taste of Dubai is an inspiration of expressing the local culinary story of the Emirates, using ingredients that can easily be found in most Emirati kitchens including Cumin, Fig, Zaatar and Rose blossom as well as locally produced Sidr honey.
The pièce de résistance of this mouthwatering dessert is the homemade edible perfume inspired by the Dubai Souq spice market. Pear juice is infused with a host of familiar scents and spices, simmered and soaked for over 24 hours to attain its alluring aroma.
As a final touch and to display the uniqueness of Dubai, the dessert is embellished with an edible replica of a Ghaf tree, commonly found in the deserts of the Emirates, as a chocolate garnish sprinkled with roasted zaatar.
