Located at the new JBR development, The Pavilion at the Beach, the latest Akiba outpost welcomes the discerning JBR crowd through the doors to stunning interiors; a nod to the restaurant’s classic modern storefront aesthetic and styling, now with rich reds and gold highlights from top to bottom. The colors are complemented by plush wood and marble tables, all tied together by a central bar, presenting a one-of-a-kind space for the JBR locale. Paying tribute to the style and lights of the Akihabara district in Tokyo, this new Akiba space brings a slice of Japan to JBR alongside an essential synth-wave and hip-hop soundtrack to boot.
Diners can expect a range of exclusive Akiba Dori Cocktails, paired with the restaurant’s signature street food and pizza, including a selection of new numbers, such as the Salmon Ceviche and Tuna Tartare amongst other new heroes, that day-one fans will be excited to explore. All-time favorites still reign on the menu with classics such as the; Akiba Rock Shrimps, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside shrimps, glazed with Akiba’s secret spicy mayo sauce. From the Mains, the legendary comfort food, Chicken Katsu Curry, plating a generous serving of Akiba’s creamy, rich and aromatic chicken katsu curry with a side of Japanese rice. To finish, the Lotus Cheesecake, Akiba’s homemade super-soft cheesecake, topped with lotus sauce and lotus crumbs.
For the pizza lovers, Akiba Dori brings its unique Tokyo-style Pizzas, which are prepared in a Japanese wood-fired oven, using Japanese dough, topped with Neapolitan ingredients – blending the two styles to bring diners a true Tokyo-style Neapolitan pizza.
Following the brand’s commendable success since opening its doors in Dubai Design District in 2018, the intent has always been to serve unforgettably delicious food in an inviting atmosphere, with the promise to inspire and indulge street-food lovers from all over the world.
