Nawab was founded in 1989 and is well known for serving authentic Indian cuisines. Sticking true to their roots, the restaurant has now opened their very first licensed venue with cocktails inspired by Indian spices, craft hops and chilled grapes that can be enjoyed with their signature Nawabi dishes and at an affordable community gastropub prices.
Leading the team is Chef Bharat Sarkar, from Delhi, India. He uses his expertise in harmonising both new and traditional Indian flavors to serve his guests with the good old Nawab taste but with a modern twist. Every dish on the menu has been carefully handcrafted to leave a lasting impression on your mind and mouth, all while being healthy (you won’t find any heavy oils and butter used here).
“Nawab Authentic Indian Restaurants have been a cornerstone in representing the Indian food culture in Dubai since 1989 and have been a part of my life ever since I had migrated to this region. Later, in 2017, my daughter and I decided to acquire Nawab and restore it to its original glory – one where Nawab served poetry on a plate with its magical Indian flavours,” says owner Rajesh Sachdeva.
