Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa has appointed Clive Micallef as its new Executive Chef.
Bringing almost two decades of international hospitality and restaurant experience ranging from Malta and United Kingdom to the United Arab Emirates, Chef Clive will be overseeing the culinary operations for the resort’s banquet, in-room dining services, outside catering and dining venues.
“With the resort’s diverse, exclusive and award-winning dining outlets, we are confident that Chef Clive with his high skills, wealth of culinary experience and extensive knowledge of UAE market, will be a great addition to Bab al Shams Desert Resort & Spa in maintaining a remarkable position as an authentic culinary destination in Dubai.” said Reuben Mifsud, cluster general manager, Bab al Shams Desert Resort & Spa.
Originally from Malta, Chef Clive started his professional culinary career in 2000 after completing his studies at the Institute for Tourism in Malta, where he received a ‘Diploma in food preparation and handling’.
Chef Clive has previously worked at venues including Grosvenor House Park Lane in London, United Kingdom, Westin Malta and Intercontinental Malta in his home country Malta. His most recent role was Complex Executive Sous Chef at The Westin & Le Meridian Mina Seyahi Complex in Dubai, UAE.
