Sami Matta is a third-generation Lebanese restaurateur with substantial education and an impressive 15+ years of professional experience in leading F&B organizations, business turnarounds, and brand building.
A former member of the Taekwondo Lebanese national team where he participated in several world championships, Sami always takes challenges head-on, committed to succeeding by identifying new opportunities and building businesses from concept creation to final operations.
A graduate of La Sagesse University in Beirut, Sami moved to Paris to obtain his MBA degree in Hospitality Management at ESSEC, while simultaneously working across the city’s leading hotels as an apprentice, including the likes of Ritz Paris and Concorde Lafayette.
After successfully completing his Master’s, Sami joined the renowned Lebanese culinary institution, Restaurant L’Os as a Group Managing Partner. Very quickly, Sami implemented innovative strategies, reshuffled the organization, developed the brand equity and image and inaugurated two additional outlets, overseeing a total of three different outlets across Lebanon.
Following an impressive 10-year career working in Beirut, Sami Matta moved to Dubai in 2021 to join 25hours Hotel One Central as the Multi-Outlet General Manager, overseeing the successful Monkey Bar concept at the new property. By the end of summer 2022, Sami will also be responsible for two additional F&B outlets, one of which is the Shisha Garden that offers a splendid view of the Museum of the Future.
