DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai – Jumeirah Beach has recruited two new chefs to its signature Al Maeda restaurant and has launched a new Levant-inspired menu.
Oriental sous chef, Lawrence Alnajjad began his career in Damascus and has added to the menu his interpretation of the Shish Barak, a traditional Syrian dish made with dough, yogurt and minced lamb meat, combined with nuts.
Chef Halima Boubakri is known for her traditional Moroccan cuisine, and her signature dish is lamb tagine, with spices and dried fruits popular in North African dishes.
Alnajjad commented: “Chef Halima and I have been inspired by the vibrant colors and relaxed ambience of Al-Maeda, which has already positioned itself as a top choice for diners seeking a modern spin on Arabic cuisine.”
Boubakri added: “The introduction of our new Levant-inspired menu is a fresh take on Al-Maeda’s offering – with each element of every dish perfected to create an unforgettable dining experience for all our guests, as their dining experience transcends from a daytime café feel, to an evening destination venue, for locals, expats and visitors alike.”
DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Beach general manager, Hassan Elwahidi said: “We look forward to welcoming new and returning diners to Al-Maeda, as we enter a new era of offering unrivalled Arabic cuisine in the heart of the city.”
Al-Maeda restaurant is located in the first floor of DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai – Jumeirah Beach on Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR) Walk.
Open seven days a week, and serving lunch from 12:00pm to 3:00pm and dinner from 7:00pm to 11:00pm, visitors can enjoy shisha on the terrace.
